A year ago, I didn’t know that September was Suicide Awareness Month. What a blissful naivety that was.

It’s remarkable how quickly life can change—in a day, a week, a month, and now almost a year. We often live in our own little bubble, unaware of certain struggles until that bubble is suddenly popped. My hope in sharing this is to encourage you not to wait for your bubble to burst. Pop it yourself.
Learn more. Be more. Support the organizations working tirelessly to end suicide, hunger, injustice, and suffering in all its forms. Stretch your heart to grow in kindness, empathy, and love for other humans.
In a world where violence is glorified on screens and morals often seem to slip away, you can choose to be the light. Be the one who cares. Be the one who supports. Be the one someone knows they can talk to.
This month and always, let’s honor Suicide Awareness Month by being intentional about how we show up for others. It could change, or even save, someone’s life.
At Suzie Sews Sunshine, 100% of proceeds are donated to suicide prevention efforts. Every apron, smock, or handmade gift carries with it a stitched reminder of hope and light. Together, we can make a difference—one kind action, one conversation, one stitch at a time.
